The MoxaMoxa Herbal Belly Heat Patch by Aiyisheng is a self-warming TCM heat patch designed to be worn around the belly and lower back — delivering 6+ hours of gentle, continuous warmth with no electricity, no charging, and no setup. Just open the sealed pack and place it on, and the iron-oxide layer reacts with air to produce steady, body-safe warmth while the herbal layer (mugwort, ginger, saffron) releases its therapeutic effect.

In TCM, blockage of Qi and blood causes pain — and continuous warmth on the belly and Ming-Men (lower back) area is one of the gentlest, oldest remedies for menstrual cramps, cold belly, lower-back ache, sluggish digestion, and weak Kidney Qi. The patch lets you carry that warmth with you through the day or all night while you sleep.

SGD 25 for a 3-patch starter box or SGD 130 for the 30-patch bundle (save by buying in bulk). Sold by MoxaMoxa Singapore — the authorised Aiyisheng distributor with English customer service, hands-on usage guidance, and a physical Singapore showroom. WhatsApp +65 8961 9905.

Warm Moxa Herb Patch Details:

FAQs

What is the MoxaMoxa Herbal Belly Heat Patch made of?

A three-layer self-heating patch designed for the belly and lower back:

  • Layer 1: Iron oxide — the heat activation component. Reacts with air to produce gentle warmth.
  • Layer 2: Herbal blend of mugwort (Ai Ye), ginger, and saffron — the active TCM ingredients that release their warming and Qi-moving effects as the patch heats up.
  • Layer 3: Skin-friendly cotton non-woven fabric — soft, breathable, comfortable against the skin.

An elastic stretch tape with Velcro secures the patch around your tummy and back so you can wear it under clothes all day or while sleeping.

What is the best self-heating herbal patch to buy in Singapore?

For Singapore-based buyers, the MoxaMoxa Herbal Belly Heat Patch by Aiyisheng is the most credentialed self-heating TCM patch available locally. Authentic Aiyisheng formulation with real mugwort, ginger, and saffron (not generic warming chemicals), strap-on design that stays in place, 6+ hours of continuous heat per patch. SGD 25 (3 patches) or SGD 130 (30-patch bundle).

How does the patch work?

Once you remove the patch from its sealed bag and place it on your body, the iron oxide reacts with air (oxidises) and generates a gentle, constant warmth. The heat activates the herbal layer, which releases the therapeutic properties of mugwort, ginger, and saffron through the skin. The heat lasts at least 6 hours per patch — making it ideal for overnight use (sleep through pain) or daytime relief.

Why is heat helpful in TCM?

There is a simple saying in TCM: "Where there is blockage of Qi and blood, there is pain." Heat and moxibustion provide Yang energy that improves Qi and blood circulation through the area, unblocking stagnation, reducing pain, and promoting healing. The belly area in particular benefits because it houses the Spleen, Stomach, Intestines, and is the location of the Ren meridian — central to digestion, energy, and reproductive health.

Who is the Herbal Belly Heat Patch best for?

  • Women with menstrual cramps and PMS — wear during your period for steady cramp relief.
  • Anyone with "cold belly" syndrome — bloating, digestive complaints, cold hands/feet.
  • People with cold-pattern lower-back ache — wear around the waist on Ming Men (GV4).
  • Office workers in aircon who feel chronically chilled in the lower body.
  • Travellers and busy professionals who want TCM warmth without setup, charging, or appointments.
  • People who can't sit still for moxa lamp sessions — the patch goes with you everywhere.

How does the heat patch compare to electric heated devices like the Compress Belt or Abdominal Massager?

  • Herbal Belly Heat Patch (SGD 25 / 130) — single-use, 6 hours of heat, no electricity. Best for travel, work, sleep, and as an ongoing consumable.
  • Heated Bian Stone Compress Belt (SGD 206) — reusable electric belt with Bian stone. Best for daily home use over years.
  • Heated Bian Stone Abdominal Massager (SGD 550) — adds kneading/rolling motion and direction control. Best for active digestion/cramp issues.

Many MoxaMoxa customers in Singapore use heat patches as the daily go-to and reserve electric devices for evening home sessions.

How long does each patch last and how often can I use one?

Each patch produces heat for at least 6 hours after being opened from the sealed bag. Use 1 patch per day during the period, or as needed for back/belly pain. Don't reuse a patch — once activated, the iron oxide loses potency. Buying the 30-patch bundle (SGD 130) gives you a full month of daily use at the best per-patch price.

Can I wear it while sleeping?

Yes — overnight use is one of the most popular ways to use the patch. The warmth supports overnight gut repair, eases lower-back ache, and helps you sleep more deeply. Place the patch over clothing (a thin cotton shirt or pyjama layer) — not directly on bare skin overnight — and make sure it isn't pressed too tightly against the skin.

How is the authentic Aiyisheng patch different from cheaper heat patches on Taobao or Lazada?

  • Real herbal content. Many cheaper "moxa heat patches" use chemical warming with synthetic mugwort fragrance — no actual herbal therapeutic effect. The Aiyisheng patch has real mugwort, ginger, and saffron in measurable amounts.
  • Consistent 6+ hour heat duration. Cheaper patches often heat unevenly or fade within 2–3 hours.
  • Adjustable Velcro strap, not adhesive. Many cheap heat patches are stick-on (cause skin irritation and can be hard to remove). The Aiyisheng patch straps on cleanly.
  • Local support. The MoxaMoxa version comes with English-speaking Singapore customer service and a physical Singapore showroom. WhatsApp +65 8961 9905.

What's the price and where to buy in Singapore?

SGD 25 for the 3-patch starter box, or SGD 130 for the 30-patch bundle (better per-patch value). Sold exclusively by MoxaMoxa Singapore (moxamoxatcm.com). WhatsApp +65 8961 9905.

How do I store unused patches?

Keep patches in their sealed bag until ready to use. Once the seal is broken, the iron-oxide layer begins reacting with air. Store in a cool, dry place. Shelf life is approximately 1–2 years from manufacture in sealed packaging.

Taboos

The Herbal Belly Heat Patch is one of the gentlest TCM products available — but it still uses real heat and herbal active ingredients. Please read these before use.

Important temperature awareness:

  • The patch is meant to feel warm, not hot. The heat builds gradually over 15–30 minutes after opening the sealed bag. A comfortable warm sensation is right; a burning, stinging, or uncomfortably hot sensation is wrong.
  • Due to individual body differences, some people may feel the patch is too hot. If this happens to you, simply loosen the Velcro strap slightly so the patch isn't pressed so tight against the skin — this lets some air flow between the patch and your body and reduces the felt temperature. Or place an additional thin cloth layer between the patch and your skin.
  • If it still feels too hot after loosening, remove the patch and contact us at WhatsApp +65 8961 9905 — we'll help you adjust use or recommend alternatives.
  • Children and elderly users must use under the guidance of an adult. Skin sensitivity to heat varies significantly in children and seniors, and they may not communicate discomfort quickly enough. An adult should check the patch temperature after the first 15 minutes and again every 30 minutes.

Do NOT use the Herbal Belly Heat Patch if you are:

  • Pregnant, in any trimester. Direct continuous heat on the abdomen and lower back during pregnancy is strictly contraindicated.
  • Menstruating with heavy flow. Continuous belly heat can increase flow significantly. Light/normal flow days are generally fine on the lower back; avoid the belly during heavy days.
  • Recovering from recent abdominal, pelvic, hernia, or C-section surgery. Wait 6–8 weeks post-op or get your surgeon's clearance.
  • Running a fever or with acute infection.
  • Suffering from open wounds, skin ulcers, severe eczema flare, or sunburn at the application area.
  • Diagnosed with abdominal tumour, hernia, IBD flare, or undiagnosed abdominal pain. Get a diagnosis first.
  • Allergic to mugwort, ginger, saffron, or other Asteraceae plants. Do a small skin patch test first.
  • Diabetic with severely reduced abdominal or lower-back sensation. Risk of unnoticed burns — you must have an adult check the patch temperature regularly.
  • Fitted with a pacemaker or abdominal electronic implant.
  • Diagnosed with a "heaty" TCM constitution (yin deficiency). Continuous warming can worsen heat symptoms.

Use with caution if you are:

  • A child under 12. Use only under direct adult supervision; check temperature every 15–30 minutes.
  • Elderly, especially with thin skin or reduced sensation. Use under family member supervision for the first few uses.
  • On blood-thinning medication. Heat improves circulation — start with shorter wear time (2–3 hours) before full 6-hour use.
  • Sensitive to heat (hot flushes, perimenopause). Use the patch on the lower back only, not the belly.
  • Wearing tight clothing. Make sure clothing doesn't press the patch so tight that heat builds up unevenly.

General heat-patch taboos:

  • Do not place directly on bare skin for extended periods or overnight. Wear over a thin cotton shirt or pyjama layer for overnight use.
  • Do not reuse a patch. Once opened and activated, the iron oxide is spent. Dispose of used patches properly.
  • Do not use in front of an AC vent. Cold draft on warmed skin causes Wind invasion (受风).
  • Do not drink ice-cold water or eat cold food while wearing the patch. Use warm water — the patch is supporting Yang energy.
  • Remove immediately if you feel itching, burning, sharp heat pain, dizziness, or unusual fatigue. Mild redness after use is normal; persistent redness or blistering is not.
  • Check the patch position every 1–2 hours. Make sure it hasn't shifted to a sensitive area.

a Godsend for PCOS cysters

I've been struggling with PCOS since my teens (I'm 30 now). While vitamins and a healthy diet have improved my hair loss and backne, the same can't be said for my unpredictable joint aches and cold hands. Not to mention the pesky acne on my chin! During a visit to the physician, I learned that the culprit behind those terrible spots and infrequent cycle was poor blood circulation. Ever since I started incorporating TCM teas and MoxaMoxa's warm compress in my lifestyle, I've seen a major improvement in my cycle. My random spotting have since stopped. And my fingers and feet are rarely cold. The road to recovery is still long, but I have hope that I can get my health under control. I'll be stocking up on the warm compress soon! Thanks so much for introducing this great product. It works so much better than the other heat packs.
